Dr. Brian Swimme is an internationally
known mathematical cosmologist on the
graduate
faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies in San
Francisco, USA.
Swimme’s primary field of research is the nature of the
evolutionary dynamics of the Universe, and he brings a
meaningful
interpretation of the human as an emergent being within the Universe.
His scientific perspective and understanding have
enhanced his awe of
the Source of Life, and this deep appreciation is palpable in his
presentations. His central concern is the role of the
human within the
larger Earth community. Toward this goal, Swimme founded the Center for
the Story of the Universe.

Spiritual Director
Alexandra Kovats, CSJP, PhD, has been a spiritual director and retreat facilitator for over thirty years.
She is adjunct instructor at the School of Theology and Ministry, Seattle University, USA. Th rough her teaching and journeying with
people of diff erent ages, lifestyles, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, she has strengthened her commitment to facilitate them
toward a fuller and freer life. She is the author of Prayer,
a Discovery of Life. Over the years, Kovats has worked extensively
with
Brian Swimme, making her an ideal bridge between Swimme’s ministry and
our own.
