Ramelia Williams is currently a preaching pastor at New Community Covenant-Bronzeville, an intentionally multi-racial, church plant in Chicago, Illinois, USA. In her previous work as a hospital chaplain in San Diego and Chicago, she offered short-term pastoral care to families experiencing death, trauma, and loss.
This work prepared her for her current ministry development of a network of spirituality groups that focus on inner healing for women who have survived physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Ramelia received her master of divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary where she also earned her certificate in spiritual direction. At North Park Seminary, she serves on a team that provides spiritual companionship and facilitation for Spiritual Journey groups of incoming students.
Spiritual direction plays a critical role in the way she approaches group facilitation and encourages others to listen to their inner teacher. She experiences deep joy when writing, spending time with family and close friends, hiking mountains, riding horses, swimming, or taking in breathtaking views of God’s creation.
