Renee Thomas Hill will open our conference sharing her perspective that a loss of spirit and a loss of stories is a source of many human problems. Her presentation will offer a path to restore connections that can be a source of healing.
Renee Thomas-Hill is of the Mohawk Nation Turtle Clan from the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. As a Haudenosaunee Woman, she is responsible to carry on the message of peace power and righteousness (sacredness). She shares this message as an indigenous women, mother, grandmother, great grandmother; educator, historian, counsellor, healer, and spiritual being. She is a sessional lecturer in the Indigenous Studies program at McMaster University.
She shares, "My walk in life is to share awareness and the uplifting of the spirit through the teachings of our mother, Earth, and the understanding of the good mind."
