Call for Conference Volunteers

Date:
September 15, 2017-- 8-10 AM (Central time)

Please join us in St Louis on September 15th to learn more about volunteering for the  2018 Seeking Connection Through Diversity conference and educational events, planned for St. Louis April 26–29, 2018.... It will be an opportunity for learning, spirituality, conviviality and connection for hundreds of spiritual directors and seekers.... We want people who live nearby to be our volunteer ambassadors during the events. What distinctive elements of the St Louis region might influence this conference? How can you contribute? It’s our community that really makes our events successful and you have the insights to help make this conference one of our best..... There are a wide range of leadership opportunities that may fit your gifts. We need help getting the word out, designing the beautiful environment that will be the backdrop of the conference, leading a local daylong pilgrimage, organizing a four-day retreat and much more. ....All those who wish to contribute are welcome at our informational and planning meeting.... Meet the SDI team in person, enjoy some refreshment, and share the visioning process of creating a warm and wonderful international gathering of spiritual guides and seekers.

Friday, September 15th

8 AM – 10 AM

Union Station Hotel

Midway Suites 3

1820 Market St,

St. Louis, MO 63103

If you are inspired to help co-create this meaningful event with us, please RSVP to maudn@sdiworld.org by September 7th so we can plan accordingly.

P.S. One of the first things we want to discuss with any potential volunteers is the NAACP "travel advisory" for Missouri. SDI stands for inclusion and diversity. Acceptance, tolerance and mutual respect are operating priniciples for us. So we would like to hear from all "locals" about what you think about our plans to hold a strongly inter-spiritual gathering in St. Louis. We will take your suggestions into discernment as we plan next steps.
