Program
The Leadership Institute is open to everyone interested in exploring ways spiritual direction and spiritual care may contribute to vibrant health care systems, health care providers, and patients. Special guest panelist: George Grant, PhD, Director of Research and Innovation at Emory Healthcare and Emory Center for Pastoral Services at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Grant serves as the North American chair of the Spiritual Care Collaborative. We have designed the February 5 Leadership Institute: Spiritual Direction and Health Care as a day of exploring how the Spiritual Care Summit held the previous weekend will impact the ministry and service of spiritual direction locally and internationally. The Institute is also designed as preparation for the pre-conference Health Care Institute in Houston, Texas, April 16, 2009.
Leadership Institute Objectives
1. To describe spiritual formation and spiritual direction 2. To explore the spiritual needs of health care providers 3. To reflect on the interface among spiritual care providers and others in health care 4. To describe grassroots projects that are underway locally and internationally

If you would like to spend the night before or after the Institute, at San Pedro Retreat Center, please register for the Institute and specify which night(s). Lodging is available for USD$95.00 per night, including a full breakfast, subject to availability.
