Los Angeles Religious Education Congress

Join Executive Director Liz Ellmann and Pegge Bernecker, Editor and Outreach Developer at a brown bag lunch on either Friday, February 29, 2008 or Saturday, March 1, 2008 to talk about how we might share the value of spiritual direction at the Congress and at future events.

Maybe you’ve attended Congress in the past, or are already registered. Quite possibly you’ve never heard of it! You will have the opportunity to attend excellent workshops—many from speakers and authors recommended in the recent Presence journal survey. The cost is less than US$75.00, and includes more than 200 speakers, and 200 exhibitors! Although it is sponsored by the Roman Catholic Church, everyone is welcome to attend.

Two Spiritual Directors International members that are exhibitors at Congress have generously offered to have a basket of “Ask Me About Spiritual Direction” buttons and “Explore Spiritual Direction” brochures at their booths. Please stop by, take a button and wear it during Congress!  The button will help us recognize one another, and someone may ask you to talk about spiritual direction!

Connecting with one another at other times during Congress

You may want to meet one another for a meal, or a shared conference session. You can connect with each other at either of the two meeting times, or by leaving a message on the message board in the main exhibit area in the name of “Spiritual Directors International.” Please freely read messages posted for Spiritual Directors International.
