Mary Ann Clifford Rodriguez, RSM, is a Sister of Mercy and received a master’s of theological studies from the Franciscan School of Theology. In the 1980s and 1990s, she ministered in Peru with the Aymara people. Since 2000, Mary Ann has worked with Mercy Center Burlingame, California, USA. She has worked with teams in preparation of Acompañantes Espirituales in San Francisco, Oakland, El Paso, Diocese of Monterey, Loyola Marymount, Ecuador, Guatemala, Argentina, Guyana, and Trinidad. Since 2011, Mary Ann has continued this ministry from Guyana.
Elsy Arévalo is the assistant director for the Center for Religion and Spirituality at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. She has a master’s degree in pastoral theology with a focus in spiritual direction. Elsy has extensive experience working directly with diverse communities including minority youth, immigrant families, and individuals in crisis. She resides in Palos Verdes, California, USA with her husband and three young children.
