Getting Your Story Straight
Town and Country Resort Hotel, Golden Ballroom
Thursday, 7 April 2016
Our stories define us. They affect our well-being, relationships, present circumstances, and future. Every ordeal we have suffered has happened for us as much as to us. Every catastrophe strips us of something and gives us something. Our experiences are the grist for our creative mill. We are here to make something of them. Jan Phillips’s presentation will provide a way to rethink our experiences non-dualistically, to see ourselves as co-creators of every event, and to re-spin our stories to their true endings.
Jan Phillips is a presenter, writer, musician, and photographer who connects the dots between creativity, spirituality, and social action. She has taught in twenty-three countries, written ten award-winning books, created three CDs of original music, and developed a YouTube channel of videos. Her books include No Ordinary Time, Finding the On-Ramp to Your Spiritual Path, The Art of Original Thinking, and Divining the Body. She is the founder and executive director of the Livingkindness Foundation, which built the Livingkindness Centre for Learning in Ikuzeh, Nigeria.
